My sister now dealing with wedding stuff gave me her ticket and card and pictures to get her money back. I walked in to see the same blonde, middle aged woman. She immediately said with a glare and attitude she would not talk to me about it. Only my sister. I said all she wants is her money back. She told me I was rude and mean last time I was here with my sister I was unruly and she would not talk to me so I could just leave. I said my sister is getting ready for her wedding. She responded with she can come back on Monday. I said she is going on her Honeymoon. She said well she can handle it when she gets back. So I call the moms and my sister.

Now panicked we took it to another cleaners who charged less and said it would be no problem to fix it. That he would call as soon as it was done so we could take it and hang it properly so no wrinkles would set in. He also agreed that it had been walked on.

Very overpriced.

The retort, "You didn't pay for it to be clean." I said if you can't do it just give the money back so we can go and take it someplace where this dress can be pressed properly. We understand that satin is tough and doesn't travel well so we can get it done from a place that has the facilities on site.

We said we would be back.******

The woman that we dealt with was a blonde, middle aged woman whose mother owns the business. She became easily irritated and escalated the situation with her attitude and antagonistic demeanor. She said that in travel since they had to ship it off site that of course it was going to get wrinkled and that if we didn't want it wrinkled then they couldn't put it in a bag which would mean it would be dirty.

She then asked very testily what we wanted done. I said my sister just wants it clean, pressed, and ready to go.

I responded with if you can't actually press it then why did you say you could?

Apparently I forgot the number one rule of dealing with cleaners, not only must you pay them for a service, but you must also grovel and beg them to do their job correctly before they will take extra time, effort and money from you.

My sister took her satin wedding dress in to be pressed. They had a $50 dollar deposit and then $32 difference. They had to ship the dress off site. We picked up the dress and it was even more wrinkled when we dropped it off. It was tied up in a one bag that was way to small for the dress let alone with a train. We brought it back immediately.

*****We came back. A young man was there. This is the only reason for the additional star. He was pleasant understanding and did what an employee should do. The mothers were also here this time. Now the train was not wrinkled. However, the rest of the dress was and it was dirty. The dress had obviously been walked on. The young man also agreed that he wouldn't pay for something like this.

"Excuse me?! This one?!" my mom hushes me.

Moms arrive. They walk in without my sister. The woman comes back from the back. She said she had called her mom...I mean boss...and Katherine is getting her money back. The moms say they know it is not her fault (see above where she says she would deal with it personally) and that they appreciated the refund since Katherine didn't get what she paid for. They are sending her a check in the mail. We'll see if that comes. The woman says she understands and that she is glad she is dealing with reasonable people who understand, "THIS ONE," She points at me, "just doesn't get it." I raise my voice, "Excuse me?!" She glares at me and looks to the moms "Thank you."

I know I am not a mom and that being 26 and with my own dry clean only clothes and having had my own wedding I know nothing of what paying for a pressed dress on a time line is about.

She got more irritated and said that she would do it again personally and that she would make sure it was done right and packaged properly. This was Wed. the wedding is Sat.
